Hi, I am renewing my passport but got my passport when I was 13. Can I use the DS-82 form?
No. You need to use the DS-11 form, but process is the same.
How do we ask main staff questions about a situation on the phone or someone who comes in the office with a question we do not know? (What is preferred method of communication)
1. try to figure it out on own
2. if do not know, ask Tim, Daniel or Dustin (in that order)
3. Transfer call if in office that day (or team chat if working remotely)
Can a student use a parent's check to process application and the parent not be present at the appointment?
Yes if their names on used on the application form for "Parental information" section and the applicant is at least 16. Also helps if their names are on birth certificate if used as one of the required documents.
Who do you ask if a student calls saying they need medication abroad?
Risk and emergency Team- Tina, Bri, Chris
How do Alex, Zoe, and I communicate with ambassadors primarily? What is each channel used for?
Teams- "IP Ambassadors"
General- general updates, announcements, timesheets, etc.
Coverage- Large events to request time for Shifts, need shift covered for some reason

Hi, I did not know I needed to upload my passport and I keep getting emails saying I missed the "task item". I have checked all my emails and never saw an email.
Where do you check this notification? How can you tell if they saw/ read the email?
Look up their name in the student portal. The check mark says they read the email.
How would you respond? Bonus.

To transfer: click "transfer"-> enter last 5 numbers of phone number-> click "complete"

Hi, my connecting flight got cancelled while in an international airport. I am FREAKING OUT. What do I do?
Ask Risk and Emergency Team to handle call. If not avail, ask them to text in their GroupMe to keep overseas staff updated, talk to flight representatives to get you on a new flight, and send IP-Info@fsu.edu new flight info. Also, see if you can call overseas staff/ designated transportation pickup person to keep updated. Any other suggestions?
How much is a student financially liable for payments after they paid the commitment fee and want to cancel? If not liable, explain why not?
It depends.....
(after due date) Website-> Program-> " Money Matters" -> scroll to bottom with table that explains financial liability.
But if before the due date of the commitment fee, they are not liable.
What form can you use to replace an emergency passport issued abroad at a U.S embassy when return to the U.S.? You can use this when replacing your passport without having to pay application fee!

What do you use to find who handles what programs in the office for Main staff?

Hi, I paid half the program fee (10k) and also deferred 5k.
Part 1: Why does my fsu account still say I have a charge of 5k.
part 2: Why does my balance say I have 2k left to pay?
Reminder: paid 5k and deferred 5k, but still shows a balance remaining they have to pay.
1st scenario:
1. If deferment is solely bright futures and they are awarded that exact amount, the charge will not disappear until student business services comes in and pays that amount closer to due date.
2nd scenario:
2. However much they deferred and anticipate getting from outside Aid, they were not rewarded that amount for some reason, and need to pay the difference.
Where do we check to see if and how much money someone deferred for the program?
