What should you do when you come across someone vomiting in the bathroom?

Approach and initiate conversation - see that they are responsive - ask if they have been drinking, how old they are and call 911

You should check the Pequot Room during all of the rounds.

Date, time, location and RA name.

Guest Policy & Maximum Occupancy

You can have 2 guests per resident actively in the space for 3 consecutive nights - cannot exceed 15 nights per semester 

Maximum occupancy is 6 people for a double.

With permission in a flood/maintenance emergency situation ONLY.

The duty phone should be returned to the Shippee Office between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM.

What should you do when you approach vandalism of a potentially bias nature?

Take a picture, find something to cover it with, call the HD on-duty. NEVER erase it.


Check to see if anyone is around that was harmed by the bias language.

What are the functions of the primary and secondary duty phones/people?

Primary - calls in at 7:00 PM, sits the desk, does rounds and responds to incidents

Secondary Weekdays: Calls in at 7:00 PM, answers primary phone calls and assists in responding to incidents

Secondary Weekends - same as primary

What are the three main functions of rounds?

- facilities check/maintaining safety in the building 

- responding to behavioral issues

- building community - interacting with residents 

- Provide support to students in distress & offer resources

Respondent: person accused of violating policy

Complainant: person who believes that they are the victim or harm was done to them

Witness: individual who has direct knowledge of the incident NOT the RA on-duty
