Story:

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) once saw a man preparing to slaughter a goat. The man was sharpening his knife in front of the goat, causing it distress. The Prophet said, “Do you intend to kill it twice? Why did you not sharpen your knife before laying it down?” This shows his compassion even towards animals.
