The Muslims traveled to Makkah intending to perform ʿUmrah but were stopped. A treaty was negotiated between the Prophet ﷺ and Quraysh. The Muslims agreed to return to Madinah without performing ʿUmrah that year. A 10-year peace agreement was established. Quraysh did break the treaty.
