1) Southern States and Britain had a mutual partnership in the purchase of cotton from Southern stats by the British and in exchange the British sold cheap manufactured goods to the South. 

2) Tariff of 1828 increased the cost of the purchased manufactured goods and forced the to purchase them from Northern states instead.

 3) Britian purchased less cotton from the South in exchange and caused the economy to suffer

They ruled that only the Federal Government could make laws regarding the Cherokee. Jackson ignored the ruling and forcibly removed them, leading to the Trail of Tears.
