Phosphylase a is found in muscles and in the liver and gets activated by glucose. The liver's goal is to send glucose to the bloodstream and it does this by breaking down glycogoen into glucose with glucose-6-phosphatase. The muscles job is to use glucose-1-phosphate when necessary and phosphylase a provides this type of glucose. If glucose-6-phosphate was found in the muscles, what would happen?
Glucose would be produced from the glycogen in the muscle storage that would activate phosphorylase a and use most of the glycogen storage that isn't necessary, causing muscle fatigue.
