Where should students put their assessments and MCs?

In the basket by the wheel (Note: assessments are spun for immediately, MCs are spun for at end of session)

* Please make sure students don't keep MCs in their binder; remind newer/younger students to put them in the basket. MCs are how we track students' progress, so it is very important that they go in the basket.

1. If a student should be working on an assessment, where can they find it?

2. Where in a student's binder can you find assessments that they should NOT be working on? 

1. Front pocket of binder. (Note: assessments in Tab 2 should only be worked on once the pages in front of it have been completed)

2. Tab 1– I've been seeing student work on old assessments, which they are not supposed to. Please make sure to ask students where they found their assessment before moving to another table.

What should you do when a student has pages in their binder that are not on the DWOP?

Remove them as soon as possible; remove pages of challenged MCs in the moment, whenever you can!

* Last month, Vincent X had 0 pages he was supposed to be working on in his binder; none of the topics assigned to him were in the binder. It's important to address these issues in the moment, to prevent students from wasting time on material they've already mastered.
