Notify Supervisor, fill out and incident report, notify your supervisor or next level manager for needed f/u and reporting as outlined in the Employee Injury and exposure policy.

Isolate the area and call maintenance, then retrieve the SDS information and determine the precautions to be used with this chemical. Next, retrieve the spill kit, put on the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, and follow the directions as outlined on the SDS. (Chemical Spill Response Procedure)
How do you know if a piece of equipment is safe to use?
Check for the preventive maintenance sticker with the date of last service (service is provided yearly), examine the equipment for obvious flaws, make sure cord is intact, and do not use equipment if it does not appear safe to do so.
