Why do we have COWS in the hallways? What equipment is allowed to be stored in the hallway?
What is COWs are moved often with patient care (every 30 min) and are plugged into outlet in hallways for charging. They are NOT stored in the hallway. Code carts and isolation carts are the only carts that are allowed to be stored in the hallway.

Do we use protocols?
Yes but in our areas the term protocol means something different that in the hospital and with nursing. All the steps in our protocols are within our scope of practice, so do not require medical staff approval. Ortho rehab protocols are also called Physician Preference Sheets - found on share point
