Use context clues, listen for key words, keep listening.

What is the difference between opinion and stance?
Opinion = how someone thinks or feels.
Stance = a person’s opinion and attitude about a topic.

What is the difference between a main argument and a rebuttal?
Main argument = stance + reason + example + evidence.
Rebuttal = responding and disagreeing with the other side.
Why is context important when listening?
Context helps listeners understand meaning even if they do not know every word.
