Methodologies for Describing Interventions
100

Define this level of measurement: Nominal.

What are categories?

100

Definition from dictionary.

What is a conceptual definition?

100

    1. A relationship must exist between the two variables

    2. The relationship must be non-spurious.

    3. There should be a time interval between the independent variable and the dependent one.

What are three conditions that must be established before we call a relationship a causal?

100

These are considered to be practice manuals, process recordings or written description, most commonly used methodology, and most subject to variation and miscommunication.

What are narratives?

200

When categories in a certain order.

What is Ordinal?

200

When applied to data collection, this is considered to be a clear, concise detailed definition of a measure.

What is an operational definition?

200

It is considered the most frequently used single subject design. It allows for measurement of change over the course of an intervention. It is a non-experimental design, roughly analogous to the One Group Post-Test Only group design.

What is the B (Intervention Only) Design?

200

It is considered technologically sophisticated, difficult to arrange with clients and agency, more time consuming, accurate method of conveying information, and can only convey one session at the time.

What are videotapes?

300

What level of measure is considered to be equal intervals?

What is Interval?

300

What client would like to do, be or prefer to happen after the intervention is complete.

What is an ultimate goal?

300

This design is broken down into the following criteria: tt is a quasi-experimental design, the existence of a baseline allows for the establishment of a relationship between intervention and outcome, if a change in the dependent measure occurs at the end of the intervention, a relationship between the independent and dependent variable has been established.

What is the AB (Baseline and Intervention) Design?

300

These are known to have many of the same advantages and disadvantages of videotapes and to be less sophisticated and demanding.

What are audiotapes?

400

The level of measure that has equal intervals and 0 point.

What is a Scale?

400

Very specific versions of the ultimate goal.

What are intermediate goals, facilitative goals or objectives?

400

This design's criteria involves the following: A three phase design: 1) No-intervention baseline phase (A), 2) Intervention phase (B), and 3) No-intervention withdrawal phase (A); allows for evaluation of pre-intervention, intervention  and post-intervention problem status, if a change occurs during B and is reversed  during the second A, then it is likely associated with presence of the intervention, and has a more reliable establishment of a relationship between intervention and outcome than in the AB design.

What is the ABA (Basic Withdrawal) Design?

400

Skype, Adobe Connect, JoinMe are considered to be.

What are new computer applications?
