What Are The Steps to Change AD Remotely?

1. They should first log into Windows (not the VPN) with their old password. Since they are not on the network, the computer should accept the old password. 2. Once at the desktop, they can go to http://pwreset.texashealth.org and change their password to a new one.

3. After changing their password, have them log into VPN with the new password.

4. Finally, have them lock their PC through Windows (CTRL+ALT+DEL, or Windows key + ‘L’)

5. Unlock the PC with the new AD password and it should cache locally.
