Did the game lose me for six months when I got lost in the massive bug area with no movement items? Yes. Did I replay the same optional boss 5 times expecting to get a prize or more lore or literally anything at all? Also yes. Did this make me mad? what do you think. Is the [REDACTED] DLC just a boss rush with extra steps? Yes again. Did I finish said [REDACTED] and would I recommend playing it to anyone besides speedrunners and masochists? No, and no.

I now understand why this game became a legend in it's genre.
The gameplay is, as advertised, quite difficult. Sometimes frustrating. (Double that if you play on a controller.) But it's also fair and very fun. I enjoyed it a lot.
The graphics are pretty good. The attention to details in the game's environment is top-tier. I also liked the cute artstyle of in-game illustrations and poster art.
The soundtrack is great and fits well with the atmosphere. I even bought it separately. No wonder it's heard it on YouTube often.
The plot, for a not story-focused game (it's a platformer after all), is solid and believable. I relate strongly to the protagonist.
