When an HOA needs a Land Plat Survey, can design do that?
Yes. Some HOA's want the panels shown on a copy of the land plat. Design will import the land plat into aurora and place the CAD file in the plat and scale to size for HOA.

Why is AC/DC conversion important for utilities?
DC is the current that is produced by the panels, it is then changed to AC at the inverters for use in your home. The excess energy that gets put back out on to the grid is in AC. So utilities need to know that AC size so they are aware of how much electricity is being produced for safety of their linemen and to make sure the lines and transformers have capacity.
