What is Buoyancy?

Buoyancy is the force that makes an object float. When an object is set in the water, it moves water out of the way. This water pushes back on the object. If the weight of the water that is displaced (moved) is equal to the weight of the object, then it floats. If the weight of the object is greater than the weight of the displaced water, then is sinks.
