Today students in junior high school notice what other students wear. Nobody wants to wear something that is "out of style." 200 years ago, when America was a young country, students also wanted to be in style. But what was "in style" back then?

For rich boys, the style was a shirt with ruffles and short pants made of velvet. Style was leather shoes with silver buckles. Style was also a powdered wig! Rich girls wore silver buckles. Many times girls wore aprons over their dresses. Styles have certainly changed in 200 years.

It is likely that:

A: Children who were not rich dressed the same as rich children.

B: Poor children did not wear silver buckles, wigs, and velvet.

C: "Style" is something that stays the same year after year.

B: Poor children did not wear silver buckles, wigs, and velvet.
