Standing up straight, feet shoulder width apart, chin parallel to the floor, hands either resting at your sides or making meaningful gestures.
If you want to present a counter-criterion, what must you do?
You must:
- Explain why the Aff criterion is flawed
- Present your CC
- Give a RTP (Reason to Prefer).
What is the second-to-last speech in a panel debate round?
The NR (Negative Rebuttal).
Who cross examines who in the first CX?
The 2N cross-examines the 1A.
In what speech does the negative team respond to, and provide counterexamples to, the AFF team’s contentions?
The 1NC.
How should you end every speech?
With a brief summary of your speech, and then a call to vote for your side and a thank you.

There are three topics. AFF strikes first, then NEG strikes one of the remaining two.

You must state:
- what speech they made that argument in
- what their tag was, (give a brief explanation of the argument)
- state the tag of your response, and give your response (incl. counter-example).
