What is Dr. Pepper?
A city whose heritage runs deep in Ashley's family, five generations deep. Between remembering the Alamo and a 10-day Spring party, this city is responsible for being a place Ashley has called home for the past 21 years.
What is San Antonio?
"So if you care to find me, look to the western sky." Better yet, look to the Gershwin Theatre, home of Ashley's first ever Broadway production, a musical she has seen both in stage and movie form.
What is Wicked?
The leg bone's connected to the foot bone -- wait, which leg bone? Lucky for you, this leg bone is hard to miss, as it's the largest bone in the body.
What is the femur?
Much of Ashley's childhood was filled with a specific blue alien with a particular affinity for destruction. A member of Ashley's 'this', meaning family, might be to thank for her shelves lined with Stitch, Lilo, and their little family.
What is Ohana?
Concrete jungles where dreams are made of, a dream destination certainly held by Ashley. Although, who ever said dreams couldn't be had twice? Ashley definitely hasn't been able to stop dreaming about this location since her first visit.
What is New York City?
"I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it." Ashley's got the taste for this pop star, "The Girl in the Bubble." Although, long before she was blonde, she had hair the color of red velvet.
Who is Ariana Grande?
If blue runs deep through Ashley's veins, then what color runs deep through Ashley's arteries? Trick question, blue doesn't run through veins, red does. If all blood is red, what element with the atomic number of 8 is responsible for veins being drawn as blue and arteries red?
What is oxygen?
This item of clothing doubles as pants and a shirt, and four pairs currently call Ashley's closet home. One might even say Ashley love this item of clothing over all the others.
What are overalls?
22 seasons, over 450 episodes. "McDreamy was doing the McNasty with McHottie. That McBastard!" While this show might not have been the most appropriate for a 13 year old, it had a hand in Ashley's realization of her future career.
What is Grey's Anatomy?
"Como la flor," this Tejana star lives on in Ashley's top played artists. While Ashley might've first met her as Jenny from the Block, Jenny only wishes her small bag of chips and orange drink were as good as this white rose's pepperoni pizza, IYKYK.
Who is Selena (Quintanilla)?
Don't be fooled, this organ isn't a starfish, although they do share the ability to regenerate. Be careful, while this might be a 21st birthday, too much alcohol might make a donation necessary. Don't worry, you only need half of this organ, and they could even come in miniature form.
What is the liver?
Cerulean, sky, azure, cobalt, navy, royal, periwinkle, and Tiffany. The hue of destructive aliens, las aguas de la playa, the stone embedded next to CTJ; a color that runs through Ashley's veins.
What is blue?
Eureka, I've had an epiphany (pageant)! Mary has an epiphany when this angel appears to her, a role that Ashley played several times at the late, great annual CHUMC Epiphany Pageant. Unfortunately, there weren't any cameras 2000 years ago, so there's not photographic evidence.
Who is Gabriel?
Ashley might never have been to Greece, but Sophie, Donna, Sam, Harry, and Bill save her Money, Money, Money by bringing Greece to her in this movie musical. While Ashley might not be a Dancing Queen, she's definitely a Winner who Takes It All, and she'd love to say "Thank You for the Music."
What is Mamma Mia?
Uh, oh, it's about to blow! This organ was once vital for our herbivorous ancestors. Now, it is vestigial. Or is it? Recent research suggests this organ might play a crucial role in our gut biome.
What is the appendix?
Other than her bedroom, Ashley considers this Texas destination to be her favorite place. Ashley's family frequented this sandy location nearly every summer, and she even chose this location to celebrate her first college graduation.
What is Port Aransas, Texas?
"We are the champions" could be heard through the halls of Ashley's elementary school. Slow and steady wins the race, although patience is a virtue not mutually shared by Ashley and the tortoise, the mascot of this specific NEISD elementary school.
What is Cibolo Green?
Make a wish, see what you get. Taraxacum officinale starts off yellow, but isn't ready until it turns white. Lucky for you, this weed comes in song form. In fact, "The Girl in the Bubble" sings all about this flower, a song that happens to be Ashley's favorite. (Hint: check Instagram)
What is Dandelion?
Can you hear me now? Without the stapes, malleus, and this bone, maybe you can't hear me. On the bright side, without this bone, the Coyote might just have a chance at catching that pesky Roadrunner.
