Upon closer inspection of the Euro bills, you can see various buildings, windows, bridges, and arches. What’s unusual about these images?
None of the structures actually exist in real life. They were carefully designed to be generic representations of European architectural styles — from classical to modern — so that the banknotes could symbolise Europe’s cultural diversity without favoring any specific country. The bridges, arches, and gateways are meant to convey openness, connection, and unity, reflecting the values of the European Union, rather than showing real landmarks.
