WHO - The King, the King’s servants, and the wedding feast. 

WHAT - Jesus told a parable about a king who wanted to have a big wedding feast for his son. He sent out servants to invite everyone to the feast, but no one came. The king sent the servants again to invite EVERYONE to the feast, and people came.

How did people respond when they were invited to the Wedding Feast?

FIRST, they people ignored the servants and went to their farms and businesses instead of the wedding feast. THEN 'both bad and good' were invited and they came to the feast!

1 Chronicles 29:11 "Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power..."

What did Jesus teach when He was on earth?

Jesus taught about God and His kingdom. He taught that all Scripture is about Him.

When the King invited everyone to his son's wedding feast, the people of the kingdom were overjoyed and came to the feast. 

FALSE - the people of the town hated the messengers and even killed one of them. They did NOT want to come to the feast.

WHAT - Jesus tells four parables about the Kingdom of Heaven. We learn that the Kingdom is greater than we could imagine, valuable, to be treasured, and that God knows who will join Him!

What is the parable of the mustard seed? What does it mean?

“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that someone took and sowed in his field; 32 it is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest of shrubs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.” (Matthew 13:31-32). 

God's Kingdom may appear or start small, but it will grow larger than all of the others!

Now without faith it is impossible to please God, since the one who draws near to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.

How can we be saved?

We are only saved through faith in Jesus.

How did the Prodigal Son's father react to him coming back home? What does this tell us about God?

He saw him walking back from far off. He ran to meet him and kissed him. Then he came back home and ordered that a great feast be prepared. 

This is how God greets anyone who comes back to him - not with retribution and anger but with feasting and celebration!

How do we know God loves us?

We know that God loves us because He gave us Jesus to forgive the sins of the world.

When we sin, we should feel sorry that we have disobeyed God and want to turn from our sin because we love Him.
