What do we do if we realize on 09/11/2020 that we paid a veteran the P 9/11 rate for period 08/21/2020 to 12/10/2020 but they should’ve been receiving the Ch. 31 rate?
Since the veteran was already paid for the month of August, no overpayment should be created for the period paid. The award should be adjusted on 9/1/2020 to the correct rate. The VRC must notify the veteran and complete an administrative error memo to the VR&E Officer.
