This form of communication campaign was used to increase registration for our InJoy prenatal classes
What is a social media campaign?
-Social media posts are running on IG, FB and Twitter from July to end of November
-Monthly registration numbers have almost doubled since the launch of the social media campaign
HART helped us create this to share information with the community about Gestational Diabetes
What is an infographic?
A Gestational Diabetes Infographic is currently in final draft and will be available soon.
A population we want to learn more about in order to be more inclusive during the perinatal period
Who is the 2SLGBTQ community?
-Interviews in progress with PHUs and community partners to gain understanding of the 2SLGBTQ community prenatal health needs and identify support strategies for 2024
All working groups are participating in this project to make health information more accessible and up to date for the community
What is the DRHD website?
Continue to work on updating the preconception and prenatal portion of the DRHD website in collaboration with other working groups
We are collaborating with this department to have them help us analyze the InJoy evaluations and collect stats on prenatal education
Who is HART?
The evaluation analysis is currently underway and will help us to understand prenatal education and better meet the needs of clients using the program

What is a large-for-gestational-age (infant)?
Steps 1-3 of a situational assessment have been completed
Data showed that LGA infants are at higher risk for long-term adverse health outcomes
This community partner provided training to HF in February titled “Quality Care for the Gender Expansive Community”?
Who is CAREA Gender Care Interprofessional Primary Care (IPC) team (Nicole Morrison)
-63 HF staff attended the training
-a group of staff also piloted additional training The Rainbow Health Ontario 2SLGBTQ Foundations Course and evaluated the program for possible future use
Before the pandemic Cathie Logan ran this program with Kelly Jones from CAREA
What is Baby Steps?
-planning meetings attended to resume support of this program
– starting in February 2024 a PHN will be co-facilitating this 5 week registered program for parents and babies with Kelly Jones (CAREA)
19 Health Units offer the Canadian version of this class to their communities
What is the InJoy online prenatal classes?
-attended 8 Provincial Working Group meetings and an update planned for the current classes has been put on hold due to stability issues with the program
-a new Canadian version is currently being produced and expected to launch in 2024
A prenatal condition associated with hypertensive disorders, gestational diabetes mellites (GDM), increased risk of caesarean section delivery, complications at delivery, and post-partum weight retention
What is gestational weight gain (GWG)
Steps 1-3 of a situational assessment were completed on this topic which will be utilized for program planning for 2024
