Cole decided to tell the truth no matter what. Cole threw his proof (the white fur) into the water from the dock.

Cole builds the cabin all by himself. Cole can't work with both hands because he injured his right arm when the bear attacked him.
Why did Peter come to the island? What happened to Cole while he and Peter were walking to the pond? What did they see? Did peter ever forgive cole?
Peter came to the island because his parents wanted him to live and heal. While Cole and Peter walked to the pond, Peter punched and kicked Cole, and Cole held Peter. They saw Spirit Bear. Peter started to forgive Cole a little bit.
