It is a sentence fragment.

No. It is a novella. I would also accept it being called a short story.

Cats that have white fur and pink noses, are more likely to be deaf because both traits are carried on the same gene.
There shouldn't be a comma after noses: this is a complex subject clause, not an introductory phrase.

The pronoun referent is unclear.
This could be clarified by writing: Einstein's brilliant skills in mathematics enabled him to explain relativity.
When should you enclose a title in in quotes vs. use italics?
Quotes are for titles of shorter works that are typically not published on their own (poems, short stories, novellas, and essays), and italics are for longer publications (novels other long form books, poetry collections, short story collections, and the names of magazines, newspapers, and journals).
