Points, Lines, and Planes
Slopes of Lines
Parallel Lines and Transversals
Classifying Triangles by Angles
relevant math topic
100
A location with no shape or size.
What is a point? This is important because the whole lesson is about points, lines and planes so I thought it would be a good idea to add one of the main topics into my jeopardy board.
100
The ratio of the change along the y-axis to the change along the x-axis between any two points on the line.
What is the slope? The lesson was all about slopes and how to find them or what slope means so I thought it would be good to put this into my jeopardy board.
100
Coplanear lines that do not intersect
What is a parallel line? It's a main topic of this lesson so I thought it was important enough to add on here and we used parallel lines in many lessons including some of the recent ones so I thought it was even more important.
100
A triangle with three angles under 90°
What is an acute triangle? This the lesson that I was gone for so I figured I would put it in my jeopardy board just to refresh anything. We also just used classifying triangles on the test so I thought it was important.
100
The thing that made you so mad at the beginning of the year but I do not do as much now
What is talking a lot?
200
A line is named by...
What is the letters representing the two points? The whole lesson was about points, lines and planes and being able to name a line is one of the top important thing in this lesson and we still use it in class almost everday.
200
Slope can be interpreted as...
What is rate of change? I saw this in the lesson sometimes and it confused me a little bit so I thought it was important to put into my jeopardy board and help out some other people if they played.
200
Noncoplanar lines that do not intersect
What is a skew line? We don't use thesde very often in math class anymore but it's an important part of the lesson so I thought it was good enough to put on here.
200
A triangle with three congruent acute angles
What is an equilangular? I thought it was important because I didn't understand equilangular triangles until I looked up the definition in the textbook so I could use it on my jeopardy board.
200
Something I am better at this far in the year than I was last year.
What is classifying triangles by their angles?
300
(DOUBLE JEOPARDY) A flat surface made up of points that extends infinitely in all directions.
What is a plane? Planes are one of the main topics in this lesson and we talked about them a lot so I thought it would be good to add plane into my jeopardy board
300
Name the postulate: Two nonvertical lines are perpendicular if and only if the product of their slopes is -1. Vertical and horizontal lines are perpendicular.
What is slopes of perpendicular lines? We use postulates a lot and I don't remember this one so i thought I'd refresh my mind and I also thought it was important enough to add on here.
300
A line that intersects two or more coplanar lines at two different points.
What is a transversal? We still use transversals in class. I didn't remember exactly what a transversal was and I just thought it would be a good reminder so I put it on here.
300
A triangle with one obtuse angle
What is an obtuse triangle? This the lesson that I was gone for so I figured I would put it in my jeopardy board just to refresh anything. We also just used classifying triangles on the test so I thought it was important.
300
A formula that I found difficult but with help I slowly began to understand
What is the distance formula?
400
Points that lie on the same line.
What is colinear? When talking about lines, it involves collinear and since lines are one of the main topics and we still use them in class today, I thought it would be important to add colinear into the mix.
400
Name the postulate: Two nonvertical lines have the same slope if and only if they are parallel. All vertical lines are parallel.
What is slopes of parallel lines? I thought this was another important postulate but I didn't quite remember it so I thought I'd refresh everybody's minds by adding this to my jeopardy board.
400
Planes that do not intersect
What is a parallel plane? We don't necessarily use parallel planes anymore but they are all around us. It's also a main part of the lesson so I thought it was important enough to put in.
400
A triangle with one right angle
What is a right triangle? This the lesson that I was gone for so I figured I would put it in my jeopardy board just to refresh anything. We also just used classifying triangles on the test so I thought it was important.
400
Something that has gotten easier to do without being told
What is getting out a book or my chromebook?
500
Points that do not lie on the same plane.
What is noncoplanar? We also talked about planes and coplanar and noncoplanar things. We used them for a fair amount of time but I still thought it was important to add because it was something else about planes
500
Name an undefined slope.
What is x=0? The way you find this answer is easy. All it is, is x equals whatever number you want to put there because and undefined slope is vertical meaning it only rises
500
Two angles that are in between the two parallel lines and on the same side of the transversal
What is consecutive interior angles? We still use these and we did in earlier lessons. I also got tripped up on these when you first taught them but now i understand so I thought it was important enough to put on my jeopardy board
500
Classify this triangle by its angle measures: m∠1=91° m∠2=35° m∠3=64°
What is an obtuse triangle? This is kind of tricky, but obtuse angles are angles that are more than 90° and the first angle is 91°
500
Getting better at topics and listening more intently so I can...
What is be more confident with my answers?
