No! Items must be locked at the bike/scooter rack outside the cafeteria

  • You can bring your own lock or stop by student support to loan one for the school year

  • You can NOT drop off your bike/scooter or skateboard in Room 102

  • Push-in is NOT a punishment or to be used to enforce behavior

  • Push-in is NOT an opportunity for the student to leave class

No! You should always have a pass when out of class

If a phone or device is seen outside its pouch for any reason…

The student must hand the phone over to the school staff member who sees the phone or device. The phone will be delivered to the Student Support office, where it will be held for the parent/guardian to pick up at their convenience.

**The student will automatically need to attend one lunch detention

What is a push-in?

“Push-in” is when Student Support staff ‘push in’ to a classroom instead of the student getting “Pushed Out” for a referral or other removal from classroom.

  • Devices may be used in the Teen Center during lunch for students who are Cobra Eligible

What happens when the Dress Code is Violated? 

  1. Student will be reminded that they are not appropriately dressed for school, and asked to change, turn inside out, or cover their clothing. Parents will be notified.

  2. Parents will be notified.

  3. If student continues to violate the dress code, a parent meeting will be held.

The student will lose their Cobra Eligibility until a family meeting is held and the student completes the necessary detention and community service.

** If a student continues to violate this policy, they will be put on a phone contract, and be required to drop off their device at the Student Support office before school each morning.

Give 3 exmples of what is not allowed to wear at schoool?

Dress Code: 

1.Personal items shall be free of writing, pictures, or any other insignia which is vulgar, lewd, obscene, profane, or sexually suggestive or which promotes the use of alcohol, drugs, tobacco, or other illegal activity.

2. Students must have footwear that is safe and appropriate for the activity they are engaging in. 

3. Clothes shall be sufficient to conceal undergarments. See-through tops or bare abdomens are prohibited.  Garments exposing the entire thigh or the buttocks are prohibited.

Some answers: Crop tops, "Cookie" clothes, clothing with swear words, clothes with pictures of alcohol, drugs, tobacco, or other illegal activity

What actions can lead to detention?

  • Play-Fighting - No warning (Adult/Staff member has final say if its a playfight) 

  • Two Office Referrals from teacher

  • In the hallway without a Pass during class time - Assigned by any staff or teacher.

  • Tardy (late) for four or more periods for the same class per school quarter- Assigned by School Admin
