Call in to work to tell them what happened.  Then get ready as fast as you can, and get to work.

Go to mcdonalds.com.  click on "employment" and follow instructions to find jobs and fill out applications.  If the information is confusing, ask an adult!

What should I wear to an interview?
Dress modestly and neatly.  Tuck in your shirt.  Wear close toed shoes and limit the amount of jewelry you wear.

It's 2pm and I work at 5pm but my mom just told me that she can't drive me to work.  Is it okay to call in sick?
No.  Find another ride, or walk to work (if it's safe).  If getting to work is a problem, try to find another job that is closer.  Taking the bus is another option.

Do I need to take a parent with me to get working papers?

what are references?
References are people who your potential employer can contact to ask questions about your experience, work ethic, and character.

I just threw up but I work at 6pm.  What should I do?
Call your employer to tell them you won't be in.  No one wants you to go in and get everyone else sick!

Can I list my mom as a reference on a job application?
Nope!  No family members can be a reference.  Teachers, coaches, principals, past employers, and school counselors are good choices.

I just got my job uniform and it's completely ugly.  Is it okay to substitute my own clothes if they are the same color as my uniform?
No...especially not on the first day.  If that is an accepted practice, you'll find out soon enough.  For now, wear the ugly uniform and be grateful for the job!

Maintain eye contact while shaking hands with the interviewer and thanking them for the opportunity to interview.

I work Saturday evening but a group of my friend are going to a movie.  What should I do?
It's fine to try to find a co-worker to switch shifts with you but make sure you report the switch before the shift begins.  If you can't find anyone to cover for you, you'll have to skip the movie and go to work.  Just remember, your current employer will be a reference for your next job!
