Unlike the high adventure programs of the Summit, which are by in large experiential, the Justice Scout Camp program has a major focus on this method of Scouting.

What is Advancement?

This event is 2013 was the first that was ever hosted at the Summit. While it was an overall success, most people complained about the muddy terrain due to construction not being finished yet.

What is the National Jamboree?

Scouts can complete these awards to advance in rank and gain real-world skills. Exposure to a multitude of different trades, skills, and activities to earn these small round patches is a hallmark of the BSA program.

This workday is pay day every other week, you receive approximately half of your monthly salary.

This bridge is located less than a half hour drive north from the Summit. Spanning 3,030 ft and at a height of 876 feet above the river it crosses, this bridge is the largest single arch bridge outside of China.

What is the New River Gorge Bridge?

This building is the home of the JSC STEAM and Arts and Media merit badges. It is located directly across the road from the SVC and to top of the Sustainability Treehouse can be seen nearby.

What is the Tillerson Leadership Center?

He started his career as a Civil Engineer and later Project Manager for a company called Trinity Works, who the BSA contracted to build the Summit. Continuing to work at this property, he was the Facilities Director for many years before starting his tenure as General Manager.

The corporate name may be Boy Scouts of America, but this flagship program for young people aged 10-17 goes by this name after a rebranding in 2018.

This basecamp is used exclusively for Summit seasonal staff. With heated showers, free laundry, a firepit and hammock stands, this is a great place to unwind on your day off.

Every Wednesday evening, we encourage units to get to know their neighbors with inter-troop activities in Delta Basecamp. However, transportation to this activity that begins at the Alpha Pavilion is available.

What is the Order of the Arrow Rededication Ceremony?

This aptly-named program area was designed by Disney Imagineers and is primarily used by Summit Experience participants. It is the largest outdoor artificial facility of its kind in the world.
