Class Procedures
This is the place that I sit when I come into PE class.
What is my home base spot.
Bonus: Who can show me where home base spot 10D is? (100 bonus points)
This rule simply means "be nice."

ALL PLAY: RESPECT GAME BONUS - (500 extra points for team with the highest tower)
This is what we do at the beginning of class to get our stretch, strengthen and WARM UP our muscles.
**This is what winning and losing teams can do at the end of games to show good sportsmanship as an ENTIRE team. In high school, they do this for football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, wrestling, baseball and softball.
What is shaking hands and/or saying good game.
**This "ball skill" is needed in baseball, football, Oscars garbage can, snowball tag, and dodgeball games.
What is catching and throwing.
During this emergency, we drop everything and evacuate outside to the grass field.
What is a Fire Drill.
BONUS: Who can show me what we do during a LOCKDOWN. (200 bonus points)
This rule is important if you want to get better at something that is hard.

This is what PE means.

ACTIVITY: Choose 1 activity to do that gets you moving
**If you make excuses at the end of a game because your team lost, you are being a _________ sport.

This is what a class can earn daily for good behavior in PE class. If they get three strikes during class, they will not earn a ticket.

This is one of several tag games we have played in PE class this year.

Instead of coming right to Mr. Hayes, this is how I solve a disagreement during PE class.

What is a way I can get exercise at home?
Anything that will get my body moving is considered exercise.
FIND A FRIEND:
1) who likes the same activity as me- ACT OUT THAT ACTIVITY WITH YOUR PARTNER
On this day in May, we have waterslides, bounce houses, water kickball, squirter games, otter pops, water art games, get wet tug of war, and clamming for marbles.
What is Field Day.
This "activity" involves log rolls, somersaults, cartwheels and pyramid building. Skills needed include muscular strength, muscular endurance, and flexibility.
This is what we do when the music stops during PE class.
What is stop what we are doing and find the teacher. (take a knee, cross your arms, show 5, hands on knees)
ACTIVITY: TOILET TAG

This rule is THE MOST IMPORTANT and if followed will give our class MORE time to play fun games.

Playing a sport is a good way to get exercise, name one of your favorite sports.
Baseball, football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, wrestling, gymnastics, dance, karate, etc.
ACTIVITY: SPREAD OUT IN THE CLASSROOM AND PRETEND YOU ARE PLAYING YOUR FAVORITE SPORT.
