The Foundation is a separate legal entity that serves as the educational and charitable arm of our organization. It provides funding for scholarships and educational programming, and oversees the sorority's philanthropic endeavors. It was established in 1981.

Why did Kappa Delta create the Confidence Coalition, and who are two partners of the coalition?
Our founders envisioned an organization where women would be encouraged and supported in developing their potential – in essence to be their best selves. And it is our vision to inspire women to greatness.

All of KD’s principles, policies, programs and activities touch the area of confidence.

KD is reaching out through the confidence coalition to bring together others who are also inspired to encourage confidence in women and girls.

Our Chapter Choice meeting structure allows chapters to incorporate certain educational and PACE topics into their weekly meetings. The Chapter Choice calendar is the responsibility of the VPO and the VPME and PACE chair are responsible for the actual education presentation and content. What are the educational and PACE topics that must be covered at these meetings?
The Chapter Choice meeting structure was implemented to assist chapters in restructuring chapter meetings to maximize meeting time while educating our members and providing more opportunity for interaction and fun. It was designed with the hope in mind to free up chapter members’ discretionary time to participate in other activities in addition to Kappa Delta.

There are four different types of meetings each month: Formal/Business
Educational
PACE
Chapter “choice/select”

The 2010-11 six required educational meetings must cover the topics of academic excellence, community service, KD ritual/heritage, confidence, risk management and leadership. The four required PACE meetings for 2010 are Personal Presence – Uniquely Me! Training; Attitude – How to be a Hepburn in a Hilton World; Communications – Mean Girls!; and Enlarging our World – Global Women’s Issues.
