Responsibility for our own integrity and ethical actions includes what?
EDUCATION: attend class, do you work, be thourogh, be a student first!
SOCIAL MEDIA: spread positivity by sharing posts that are uplifting and appropriate. Ask yourself, "Would I be comfortable showing the post to employers? Or my Grandma?”
SOCIALLY: Having fun is important but doing so responsibly is essential! Whether we are at a chapter function, a social with another organization, or just out on Friday night, our behavior needs to be appropriate, safe and smart.
What does the chambered nautilus represent?
Our founders chose the symbol of a nautilus shell based on a poem that was popular at the time. The poem discusses a sea creature that never stops growing until its death — ever expanding the shell that confines it, leaving the smallness of its past behind as it moves into its next stage of development.
Our educational experiences in Kappa Delta, including the new-member program, mimic the growth of the chambered nautilus. As we challenge ourselves to learn about new topics, we expand our knowledge and continue our lifelong growth.
