whats notable about the skull of australopithecus (paranthropus) boisei and what purpose does it serve?
it has that saggital crest (bone ridge) down the skull, which served as a point of attachment for large jaw muscles (specifically their large masseter muscle) which gave it an intense bite force for consuming local food sources (nuts, seeds). it also complements its conveniently not pictured MASSIVE JAW AND MOLARS
