What is Trading of personal items?
A statement is made with the clear intent to deceive or cheat in academic classes.
What is academic cheating?
Resident purposefully destroys, or looses a therapeutic packet.
What is destruction of a therapeutic packet?
Taking someone else’s property without their permission.
What is theft?
For example, the client is given a direction or answer to a request by one staff member, and then the client seeks another staff member in hopes of a different answer.
What is Staff Splitting?
Resident is given two or more minor in fractions in a 24 hour period.
What is repeated minor infractions?
Any physical contact with sufficient force to damage the property
What is property damage?
Nicknames, Profanities or Insults spoken about or to staff or residents.
What is Name Calling?
When two or more individuals engage in play or test of strength which is overly physical for the environment and or activity which resemble stimulates or re-create any type of violent act.
What is horse play?
The uses of curses or swears during conversations or activities.
What is Profanity?
Refusal to attend group with no reasonable explanation.
What is non-participation/treatment refusal?
Any physical action with sufficient force to harm a person whether physical damage occurs or not.
What is an attack?
A Statement or action is made with the clear intent to deceive or mislead.
What is lying or misleading others?
Physically or verbally interfering with a staff, carrying out a consequence or behaving inappropriately during an intervention.
What is resistance/obstruction?
Any vocal or motor response that expresses anger and is not directed at a person.
What is a Tantrum?
For example being in the room or office of someone else without permission or leaving any assigned area without permission.
What is trespassing?
Any unauthorized departure from an assigned area or activity such as the unit School playground area or outing.
What is elopement?
Any behavior that can cause others to behave in a socially inappropriate manner and/or behaviors which are disruptive to others, this includes profanity, directed towards a person or talking about someone in an insulting manner.
What is agitation of others?
Failure to comply with direction from staff in relation to unit operations.
What is non-compliance?
Any physical gesture, or verbal statements, expressing intention of physical harm towards others or oneself.
What is a threat?
Any behavior that results or could result in self induced tissue damage. Tissue damage includes bruises bumps and openings of the skin also includes removing of bandages without medical permission.
What is SIB?
Possession of any illegal items deemed as inappropriate by staff at any time or any items on the contraband list.
