A patient with kidney disease has an elevated BUN and Creatinine (Cr). Which lab is an early indicator and which lab is more renal specific?
What is BUN is early and Cr is more specific. Even more specific than Cr is the GFR. GFR is calculated based on the creatinine clearance and is used to stage kidney disease. GFR is looked at if a patient needs a radiology study with contrast. If that GFR is too low, then the patient will not be able to excrete the contrast normally and could worsen their renal problems.

A patient presents to the ER with n/v, EKG shows A-fib, and the patients says everything looks yellow. What medication could the patient be taking for A-fib? What is the cause of their symptoms?
What is Digoxin. What is Digoxin toxicity. Normal (0.8-2)

What is cardiac injury//death or myocardial infarction.
