A tennis ball is hit at some angle above horizontal and it travels through the arc of its trajectory.  Ignoring air resistance, where along its trajectory is the speed of the tennis ball at maximum and at minimum?

Minimum speed is at the highest point.

Maximum speed is at launch/landing

In baseball, the pitcher's mound is raised above the playing field to compensate for the fact that the ball drops downwards during the pitch.  If baseball were played on the moon, would the mound have to be higher, lower, or at the same height as on Earth? and WHY?
Lower, because the reduced strength of gravity on the moon means its gravitational acceleration is less than it is on Earth.  Less gravitational acceleration means that it will fall more slowly during the pitch, and therefore not drop as much between the mound and the plate.

Suppose you are driving in a convertible with the top down, driving forward with a constant velocity.  Your friend is seated in the backseat with a rifle pointed straight upwards, and they fire a bullet straight upwards.  Assuming there is no air resistance, where will the bullet land: behind the car, ahead of the car, or inside the car?  and WHY?

With no air resistance to slow it down, and no other horizontal forces present, the bullet experiences no horizontal acceleration.  Therefore, the bullet's horizontal velocity is also constant, like the car, and it keeps pace with the car while it moves.  In a perfect world, it comes back down and lands back in the barrel of the rifle.
