They didn't have enough ice cream cards so they raised the money needed by selling extra ice cream cards. They sold enough and had a great party at the hospital.

Robert Peary dreamed of going to the North Pole. He studied hard and prepared for a long time. He recruited people to go with him. He sailed there and took a team of sled dogs the rest of the way. He placed the American flag on the North Pole first, and he is now rememered as a hero.

Horses are wild in the great planes. They were brought over by explorers and ran off and formed herds. Now they face dangers such as tourists and angry farmers. They also cause problems when they become hungry and eat crops or wander into cities. To help the wild horses continue to be free, protectors have set up horse sancturaries to keep them safe and out of trouble.
