Morning Routine
If you choose to do this, it should be in your hands before coming down the 5th grade hallway.

This expectation is for something that we use daily. I ask that you stay on task (what you are supposed to be doing) and use this device appropriately. This device should also not be left unattended on the floor.
What is Chromebook?
This is how you can check your missing assignments or your grades. This should happen at least once a week if not more often.
What is Powerschool?
The first thing you should take out to double check your needed assignments are all in there.
What is homework folder?
Finish the phrase "You don't have to be best friends but you must be _______!"
What is kind?
These are materials that you need to have in the classroom with you at the START of the day.
What is homework folder, water bottle, jacket, book, etc. (could be multiple answers)
This expectation is expected to happen when given the opportunity as a whole class. Otherwise, it should be done in this way and not during this time.
This is what you should do if you are missing a paper from being absent or you have lost yours. This should happen as quickly as possible so that you can keep up with your work.
What is check the extra copies bin?
You should double check that this space is clean and ready to go for the next day, without Mrs. Maney reminding you to do so.
What is desk area?
We should do this if someone around us is talking when we should be listening/quiet.
What is ask them nicely to stop talking? Or don't respond so they get the hint?
This thing should happen without Mrs. Maney having to remind you multiple (multiple) times every single day.
What is complete lunch count on chromebook, even if you brought your lunch!
This should happen with a paper is completed. Multiple things should also be checked before this happens.
What is turning it in to the back bins or online? Also, what is checking for name and that each question is completed?
This happens when we move onto a new subject.
What is quietly put things back where they belong and listen for instructions for the next thing?
This is the very last thing that should happen either before you find a seat on the carpet or when you leave the room.

This should be the focus if we are working with a partner on a classroom activity.

This is an expectation when interacting with any adult, whether it is Mrs. Maney or another school adult. This is also expected with each other, even if we are messing around.

This should happen every time the announcement sound goes off, even if we think we know what they are going to say.
What is get quiet and stay quiet?
If you have recently had the opportunity to sit on the couch or have a certain spot, this should happen.

This is the expectation for lining up and being in the hallway.
What is quietly going to your number, checking to make sure you have the right materials if needed, ready to go. Keeping your hands to yourselves and your mouth quiet.
This is what you should do to be a good teammate in a group project activity.
What is listen to others ideas? What is let everyone have the chance to talk and not take over?
This is the expectation that must be followed during dismissal time.
What is staying quiet (talking with neighbor quietly), staying seated (either at desk or floor), making sure you have all of your items?
