The 3 learning tracks are professional development track where students can pursue a one-year extended internship, innovation track where students can complete a 6 month internship and a multidisciplinary industry project to hone critical thinking skills and a social advocate track where students can complete a 6 month internship and 2 core and 2 elective modules to create solutions for social challenges.

What’s the difference between the Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and the Diploma in Mechatronics & Robotics?

The Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is one of the main disciplines of engineering, which opens up career pathways in precision engineering, environment and energy, facilities and infrastructure, and transportation sectors. If you are unsure of which diploma to pursue, I would recommend taking the Common ICT Programme, where you will be introduced to the field of ICT and gain understanding on the roles, practices and career paths of ICT professionals. You can take time to realise your interests, before deciding on the diploma you wish to pursue after Y1 Semester 1.

If I didn’t take POA in secondary school, can I still pursue a Diploma in Accountancy?

Yes, you can still pursue the Diploma in Accountancy as students are taught the fundamentals of financial accounting in year 1. You do not need to have prior knowledge to accountancy.

What track or electives can I choose from the Diploma in Early Childhood Development & Education? 

You will be able to choose from 3 different tracks or electives in your final year which is the Early Intervention Track, Mother Tongue Language Teaching Track(Chinese or Tamil) or Electives like Children’s Literature and Drama for Preschool Education.

If I didn’t take Physics or Additional Mathematics back in Secondary School, can I still pursue a Diploma in the School of Engineering?

Although it is recommended, it is perfectly okay if you did not take Physics or Additional Mathematics. Students will be taught the fundamentals of engineering in Year 1 so that they are able to build their foundation before moving onto Year 2.

Can I be a lawyer after getting my Diploma in Computing with Law?

No, as you would need to graduate with a law degree, complete a Practice Training Contract with a Singapore law practice and pass the bar examination. However, this diploma would be a great starting point for you to pursue further studies in the technology and law sectors. You can take up jobs in the sector though, such as Legal Technologist and IP Executives!
