What is the difference between native and processed data?
Native data = files in their original, or raw, state that have not been processed or produced previously. Typically, these files are collected directly from a custodian's device, like a computer, cloud service, or cell phone.
Processed data = files that have already been loaded into, and then produced out of, a processing tool, such as Everlaw. They typically consist of files named after their Begin Bates number and are accompanied by a load file (info & metadata associated with documents).
We have heard from customers at this competitor that it is easy to use, however uploading data to the platform is painfully slow and difficult with multiple steps required to load. They also only offer a manual data upload via drag and drop with no cloud connectors. They also can’t handle CAD files well.
