Abraham was concerned for his son Isaac, not wanting him to get a wife from the Canaanites but from his own relatives who shared a belief in the one true God.

Rebekah ran and told her mother’s household what had happened. Her brother hurried back to the servant and invited him to their home. They listened to the servant repeat his prayers and God’s confirming provisions. They acknowledged, “This is from the LORD … take her and go … as the LORD has directed.”

He trusted his personal happiness and future as a husband and father to God. He spent time meditating while waiting on the servant’s return.
