Abraham reminded the servant of all God had done for Abraham. He reassured the servant that God would send an angel ahead so that a wife for Isaac would be found. If no woman would come, the servant could return home released from his oath.

Rebekah ran and told her mother’s household what had happened. Her brother hurried back to the servant and invited him to their home. They listened to the servant repeat his prayers and God’s confirming provisions. They acknowledged, “This is from the LORD … take her and go … as the LORD has directed.”

Rebekah agreed to the marriage and was willing to leave without delay to accomplish God’s will.

How did Isaac live according to his faith in God and His guidance? (24:62-66)
Isaac entrusted his future to his father’s command through the servant under God’s will. Isaac could have married a woman from the Canaanites. Instead, he waited on God’s timing. He trusted his personal happiness and future as a husband and father to God. He spent time meditating while waiting on the servant’s return.
