The 2 sacred duties are:
1. Follow Christ and "announce the Kingdom of Heaven".
2. Look after family.
It is more important to follow Christ because that impacts or eternity. Family can fade away. Temporal and shifting.
"When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up. (Psalm 27:10)

The youth often make "hasty" decisions out of impulse instead of thinking and choosing what is best. We choose to follow our feelings
Examples:
1. We choose to follow Christ because you "love" someone.
2. Becoming "evangelical" in order to achieve a ccertain purpose or goal
What types of followers does Jesus want?
Jesus Christ wants followers who do NOT hesitate in making the best decision of their lives TODAY.
Doing the most important work which is the WILL OF GOD & proclaiming the Kingdom (eternal implications - cannot be delayed).
What is one example of a story in the Bible where someone faced the consequences of looking back and wanting to return to their sinful past? What does this mean?
The story of Lot's wife, who turned back to look at Sodom, even though she was told by the angel not to. This means her heart longed to go back to the sinful past, and she was not saved.
