What are the three ways to express the conditional?
1 The most formal way is what you may have learned in school, with “will”:
I’ll do the work.
She will go to the party.
He won’t work.
2 The most common way, especially in conversation or informal writing, is with “be going to” + verb:
I’m going to do the work.
She is going to go to the party.
He isn’t going to work.
3 The third way, which is especially common in conversation, is to use the present continuous (which usually means “now”), and to add a word or words to make clear you mean the future.
I’m doing the work on Saturday.
She’s going to the party tomorrow.
He isn’t working next week.
