Priests wore special clothes including this colorful apron-like piece with 12 stones.

The priests burned sweet-smelling incense here every day.

The high priest did this special action with blood in the Most Holy Place.
What is sprinkle it on the mercy seat?
This type of offering was given when someone did something wrong on purpose or by accident.
Only men from this tribe could become priests.

Leviticus says don't eat animals that don't do/have these two things.

This was the box with the Ten Commandments inside, covered by the mercy seat.

The high priest used these to decide which goat would be a sacrifice and which would be sent away.

That's why it was used for atonement.

After touching something unclean (like a dead animal,) a person often had to do this for a certain number of days and then offer sacrifices to become clean again.
What is wait until evening/seven days? Or what is wash clothes/bathe and wait.
The outer court had this big basin where priests washed their hands and feet.
What is the laver / bronze basin?
This live goat had the people's sins confessed over it and was sent into the wilderness.
What is the scapegoat/goat for Azazel?
This peace offering was shared - part burned, part eaten by the person offering it and the priests.
What is a fellowship/peace offering?
The high priest put special oil on his head during this special ceremony to make him holy.
After becoming clean again, a person often had to wait this many days and then offer sacrifices.
What is seven days?
The lampstand with seven lamps that was always kept burning was made of this shiny metal.
What is pure gold?
The whole nation had to stop working and "afflict their souls" (like fasting) on this day - it was a special Sabbath.
