What is a background check? (How do teachers find out who's cleared? What systems do you have for tracking?)
Instead of 2-for-20 we do 1-for-10.
What is professional development?
They go with the class, they stay with the class, they return with the class, and they may not check their kid out in the middle.
What is a field trip chaperone?
A pink slip.
What do parents have to give you in order to check their child out from class?
Each class has 7.
What are pullouts, or specials, or electives?
G and only G.
What rating of movies can we show without permission slips?
Created by teachers, run by teachers, about things that interest teachers.
What are PLCs?

What time may students eat breakfast in the cafeteria?
It contains everything you need to do before you think about going anywhere: Instructions, guidelines, forms, map, and pitfalls to avoid.
What is a field trip packet? (Located behind Mary's desk)
Teacher tech, or buddy classes, or extra project time, or more social studies, or really anything that the teacher wants to do.
What happens during that 8th pull-out slot that has no pull-out in it?
These should be in every classroom all the time, ready-to-go in case the teacher is out without notice.
What are emergency sub plans, the daily schedule, and the fire-drill/emergency backpack with roster?
Looking at student data, reflecting on student struggles and growth, designing interventions, and tracking worries and accomplishments.
What are Student Success meetings?
Even though it's Wednesday, kids stay until 3:35.
What is a 2-hour delay snowy Wednesday?
3 things: Enter in Lawson. Enter in Smart Find Express (or verify with Mary). Tell Anne Marie.
What do you have to do if you're going to be absent? And you have to tell Anne Marie NO MATTER WHAT, even if it's the middle of the night.
9:00, 10:00ish, and 11:00.
What times are enrichment groups on Wednesdays? (Extra credit -- what grades go at what times?)
Everybody. Mostly YOU.
Who is in charge of cleaning the staff lounge? Who is in charge of cleaning out the refrigerator? Who should NOT be piling stuff up on the staff room shelves? Who should never have a free table outside their rooms? Who is awesome???
One every 4 weeks with the TLF, and once every 4 weeks with grade-level teams.
How often does Wednesday teacher collaboration happen?
Volunteers, visitors, chaperones, anyone coming on-campus.
Who needs to sign in at the office? Who needs a visitor pass?
The answer must always be yes. We cannot deny this to students.
What is a trip to the restroom?
First they do it with 4th/5th, then later they do it with 2nd.
What is 3rd grade recess?
Where will put all PLC and collaboration notes, and where you can find the master schedule, the iCal links, duties, the staff handbook, instructional council minutes, Monday Memos, and all kinds of important information.
What is the shared Google Folder?
iPads. Chocolate. Post-it notes. Knick knacks. Toys. Good parking. A break.
