Entering and Exiting the Library
This is the level my voice should be at when I enter the library.
What is level 0?
You should always use this to keep your place in a book instead of folding the corner of a page. (Mrs. Capossere will always have some for you :)
What is a bookmark?
You do this when you borrow a book from the library so Mrs. Capossere knows you're taking it.
What is check out?
Our voices should NEVER go pass this level?
What is Level 2?
I should always ask for permission to speak, listen when Mrs. Capossere is talking, have a calm body and take care of my library books to show this warrior way.
What is being respectful?
Before entering the library, you should do this with your body to show you're ready to learn.
What is stand quietly in line with a calm body?
This is what you should make sure your hands are before reading a book.
What is clean?
When you return a book, you are doing this.
What is checking your book in?
Always take these steps when asked to clean up.
What is put supplies away, throw trash away, close art box, and make sure table is clear?
I should NEVER jump or stand on furniture, run, put my hands on other classmates, leave the library area without permission, if I am being this.
What is being safe in the library?
You should always do this with your feet when you enter or exit the library.
What is walk?
This is a safe, dry place to keep your library books.
What is my backpack (no water bottles!)?
Put books here if you find them in the wrong place.
What on the book cart or back where it belongs if you know where that is?
Do this when you need to go to the bathroom?
What is raise your hand with the "r" sign?
These are the three rules you should always follow in the library to show the Warrior Way.
What are Be Responsible, Be Respectful, and Be Safe?
Before leaving the library, you should always make sure you do these things.

What should I protect my books from?
Sit here unless we are reading together on the grass or have been given free time to read around the library.

Use this voice level when we have an emergency drill.

You will need to do this if you lose or damage a book.

When entering the library, we do this first before we go to our seats.

One smart way to keep from losing your book is to always put it here when you're not reading it.

This is how long you should keep a library book before returning or renewing it.

Always do this before you speak out in class.
