In the library, what does it mean to, "keep your two cents to yourself"?
Your "two cents" is your opinion. We all have them and they all have value. That's why it's important to wait our turn to share. Noone's opinion is worth more than anyone else's.
Where can I request a book I'd like to see in our library if I can't find it in our digital Koha Catalog?

How many noise levels do we have in the library?
Three. It never gets too loud in the library, we only need three.
Where do I line up to wait to check my book in, or use the media center, and how many people should be in line at a time?
Line up on the stars, no more than 6 at a time.
What is the name of the barcode scanner that checks your books in/out?
Oh that's slick. Slick likes to lick, the barcode on your books!
If I speak out of turn or interrupt someone's turn by being a distraction to/ with a neighbor, what will happen next?
It will cost you one or more of your Book Cents, as you have volunteered your book cents by volunteering your opinion/comments.
Where is the line for the library information center? And what do I do if I'm in line and someone is already using the Koha search tool on the computer?
Write my name on the whiteboard and set the timer, it will be my turn soon.
If I am speaking to the whole class, presenting or teaching, what is the noise level in the library?
If ONE person is speaking to everyone, they are only talking as loud as needed, this is a ONE.
Demonstrate properly coming into the library and checking in a book, using proper library procedures.

If I save my two cents because I am respectful during instruction time, what can I spend my Book Cents on?
You can spend your Book Cents directly at the candy salad station, spend them on chances to earn prizes, or save them for another day!
Demonstrate the correct way to sit on the couch, and demonstrate the correct usage of the Polka Dot Pads.
Feet on the floor, not laying down or sitting on a neighbor. You can read with a Polka Dot under your head or your bottom. Anything will lose you Book Cents and privileges. You will only be allowed to use the couches, arm chairs, and Polka Dots if you can be trusted to use furniture the library way.
If several friends are sat at a table in the non-fiction section of the library, discussing a book they are reading and working on a library assignment together, is this an acceptable library noise level? If so, what is it?
This is the WHISPER level. Multiple people, talking quietly to keep our library a learning, concentrating place.
Where can I find a guide to help me find books about subjects I am interested in in the Non-Fiction Section?
Find me the section about the Solar System.

Non-Fiction, Fiction, Picture Books
If I am reading a book on the couch or the armchair on the Fiction section of the library, what should my noise level be?
SILENCIO! No noise, SHHHHHH!!! This is a library, people are trying to read!!! Geez guys!!

Write a Book Doctor's Note (don't forget your name) and put the note and book inside the Book Hospital.

What happens if I take or damage someone else's Book Cents? (This is especially true if they are in the Pocket Chart!)
You will no longer be able to participate in Candy Salad, Book Cents, or Prize Drawings. This system only works if we can trust each other. When trust goes away, so do the fun things that come with it.
Explain what the two hands on the whiteboard behind Ms. Hinckley's desk are for, for your class. (One has "2 Many" and the other has a 0.)
These are for tracking your class goals as library patrons. Good library patrons check out books frequently, don't borrow too many, and return them on time. We will be practicing that here too. :)
What does Ms. Hinckley ALWAYS compare the books in the library to? And does she just mean the noise levels?
Newborn babies! You can't be too noisy, rough, rowdy, or careless with babies. You wouldn't leave a new baby unsupervised with a pet, or put them next to hot soup or tools or art supplies that could hurt them. Treat our books the same way :)
