A fictional story where the characters have to be detectives to solve the problem. This type of story usually has suspense.

This is the book you would look in to find the definition of a word.
What is the dictionary?
These books have illustrations in them, and they are usually in a cartoon or comic style.
What are graphic novels?
A non-fiction book about a real person's life and their accomplishments or events that happened during their life written by someone else.
What is a biography?
This is where you will find an alphabetical list of all topics or items. It is usually found at the end of the book.

The number of this section is where I could find a book about Maine's geography.

A fictional story where the setting and characters are part of a notable period in history.
What is historical fiction?
This is a separate section of the book that is typically at the beginning. This is not in every single book.

The number of this section is where I would look if I wanted to find poetry.

This is where you would look to find synonyms for words.
