What's the difference between hourly wage and salary wage?
Salaried employees are usually paid the same amount each pay period, based on their total salary. An hourly worker, on the other hand, earns a set payment for each hour they work.
What are work benefits?
Employee benefits, also known as perks or fringe benefits, provided to employees over and above salaries and wages. These employee benefit packages may include overtime, medical insurance, vacation, profit sharing and retirement benefits, to name just a few.
What is open enrollment?
a period of time during which you can join something as a member or participant : a period of time during which you can enroll in something. Employees can sign up for new benefits during open enrollment.

What's the difference between gross income and net income?
Gross pay is what employees earn before taxes, benefits and other payroll deductions are withheld from their wages. The amount remaining after all withholdings are accounted for is net pay or take-home pay.
What's the difference between short term and long term disability?
Short term disability is intended to cover you immediately following a serious illness or injury, and long term disability insurance is intended to maintain income replacement if your condition keeps you out of work past the end of your short term disability benefit period, even to retirement, depending on your plan.

What's the difference between HMO and PPO?
PPO allows patients to choose any physician they wish, either inside or outside of their network. While HMO has to be inside their health care provider network.
