Light is reflected off of an object and then into our eyes. It first passes through the cornea, then the pupil (the hole in our eyes). The iris controls the size of the pupil and how much much light will enter our eyes. The light then passes through the lens and is refracted. The image we are looking at is upside down on the retina and the optic nerve will send the message to our brain where the image will be right side up.
