What is Light made of?
Light is a form of energy and is made of waves
What does glass have within in it that allows us to see it?
Glass contains impurities/dust that doesn't allow light to transmit through it, therefore it has to reflect
What does Transmit mean, when referring to light?
When light passes through a material, it transmits.
What is the role of the Retina within the eye?
The Retina turns light into a electrical signal that our brain turns into an image
What does Reflect mean in reference to light?
When light gets to a material it can not transmit through it Reflects, or bounces off.
What is the problem with making buildings or cars out of a very smooth polished surface?
It reflects light off in a uniformed (or all the same direction) making it blinding for some who view it.
What is the role of the Lens within the eye?
The Lens changes shape allowing the light passing through the eye to focus on the retina
How do sunglasses work?
Sunglasses work by using materials that do not allow all light to transmit through them.
What does the Pupil do within the eye?
It controls how much light enters the eye.
The amount of light or energy entering the Lux meter sensor.
